What is the safest way to mount a wide screen tv to the wall?
Properly !!!
What should I use to make sure it never falls down?
Brackets made for this purpose -- usually available at any really GOOD electronics store --- take the deminsions -- model number and other details with you when you go to check out the available "kits" --- and someone there can give you the absolute "gospel" on this subject !!
Do it right and it will be a pleasure to you for a very long time !! Do it wrong -- and it will be an experience that you won't soon forget !!!

Most manufactures require a factory certified tech to install unit to retain warranty. Also it would be recommended because if it drops they are at fault. Use a high quality mount and have it properly secured to your studs.
I like my setup with a floor stand doesn't attach to wall an is great if I ever want to change the layout of my room.

The key is to make sure that the mounting bracket is properly secured to the studs in your wall.

Hi. Your local electronics store should have special mounting platforms..What your wall is made of will determine the type of fixture needed and the weight of your TV will determine the strength of the platform. It is best to have the TV out from the wall a bit for ventilation. Ebay have them also if you can't find them locally.
Cheers.

Make sure that the wall studs are located and the wall bracket is anchored to them.

Concrete is definitely your best bet. Screws are a close second, mixed with some brackets or store bought mounts. Stay away from adhesives like tape, glue, etc.

to be honest if you have gone to the trouble of spending a couple of grand on a plush set then it's certainly worth a couple of hundred getting it fitted proffessionally-first of all you have peice of mind and if it does fall down the company who fitted it will have to replace it. fit it yourself and it drops off the wall-try getting the insurance to pay out!!!.
