As others have stated, yes you need grout on a floor. With out it, you will get dirt and water inbetween, and underneath the tile. Water underneat would cause many problems.
There are tiles that you do not grout, but only a very few, and for the wall.
Marble is laid with a very small grout joint (about 1/16 of an inch is going to be as small as possible). If you are laying marble or any other natural stone for that matter, you are going to need to use a sealer, so you could just seal the grout along with it. Then use a natural stone cleaner, available at any tile store. Stonetech is by far my favorite brand of sealers and cleaners.
When grout is properly sealed, and you use the correct cleaners (rather than just whatever is available at the grocery store), it really is not difficult to take care of.
Another option is epoxy grout. It is expensive, and difficult to install. However, it will not stain.

the only kind of tile that you can install with fitted edges are vinyl or the very expensive stone such as marble.. but the marble must be laid by an expert and those guys don't work cheap.. here is a suggestion.. you can lay good tile and put in the grout.. once the grout is dry.. you can buy grout stain.. some of it is very pigmented as paint is.. paint the grout with the coating and it will have a bit of a gloss to it.. all you have to do is mop it right along with the rest of the floor..pick a stain that is complimentary to the color of the tile..

You have to use marble or stone tile with a very square edge and even then you have to use an epoxy grout. If you dont grout between the tile, dirt gets between the tiles and eventually the floor will fail in addition to it being unsanitary.

The only tile besides laminate or vinyl that you could put down without grout would be Duraceramic tile. Not only can you install it without grout but it is also warmer and more durable than regular tile. The only downfall is that its a little more expensive, but its worth it.

You can get a sheet product that looks like tiles and includes the "grouts" which of course are a part of the sheet and therefore require no special cleaning.

If you dread cleaning grout, just wait till you have to try to clean out the gunk that will collect between the tiles. Have you considered the self-adhesive kind? You only have to mop them.
