If you are suffering from depression, PLEASE speak with your doctor. There are medications that can help. Depression is NOT permanent.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. If you are suicidal, please consider contacting a suicide hotline:

And at the very least, please read this:

I've been where you are -- I have treatment-resistant depression. I've been in that pit that's so dark and deep that you've forgotten what the sun looks like. All I can say with relative certainty is that in some way, the world would be a lesser place without you in it.

Hang in there. This, too, will pass.

I believe to answer that you must first define your definitions of hope and hopeless, as well as the circumstances in which you are using the term. One only becomes hopeless when they themselves give up hope.

Read the Bible. There is hope for the hopeless. Remember the 1906 earthquake? Everyone had no hope that the fire would be extinguished, but some rain put it out.

God gives hope always! the word of God says to us there is no hopeless situation, no hopeless illness, no hopeless marriage. if there were hopeless situation God would have given up a long time ago! "I am with you and will save you," says the Lord

There is hope for the hopeless, calculators for the mathematically challenged, and textbooks for everyone who doesn't believe in them.

Need a hole, find a shovel.

Hope and hopelessness are at thought levels only and nothing at mere thought levels bothers the wise!

God via the Holy Spirit is our hope. It can make all the difference in the world. Or perhaps I should say make all the difference out of the world. Once you know God, the world becomes meaningless because you realize that the world itself can not offer hope for anything.
