A girlfriend and her boyfriend are hanging out and they are joking around with each other. The guy puts his hands up her shirt and grabs her breasts, but not to hurt her just to caress and have a little fun. She is laughing and says "stop, stop" but not in a angry way but in a fun way and the guy keeps going. What if the girlfriend and the boufriend are hanging out and the guy attempts to put his hands down her pants to fondle her and she says "no no no" in a playful way but the guy continues to do so. Not forcing himself but being careful.
Now what if the girlfriend says "no i really dont want to do that right now" in a nice way and the boyfriend continues a little bit but stops when the girlfriend says it more seriously and he realizes he should stop. So what do people think of this?

If she wants you to stop, you should stop. Don't push it even if she's laughing.

She was saying no no from the beginning. Instead of stopping and then talking about it you continued thinking she was just kidding because she was laughing. She was laughing because she was in an uncomfortable situation that she wasn't sure how to handle.
Personally because you did eventually stop I don't think you should be charged with a sex crime that will hang over your head but maybe have to take some sensitivity classes and be on probation.

When a girl says stop that is what she means. If you are not sure then you should stop... then talk about it. Don't assume anything.

Well obviously it is not sexual assault because she said no, and he gave up. You are indicating that they are girlfriend and boyfriend, so obviously a level of intimacy has been established. If they are acquaintances or perfect strangers, then I can see maybe something to that degree if the woman was really bitter because the guy didn't look like Brad Pitt. All that is really going on is the girl wants money or attention and if she pursues charges, clearly illustrates what kind of woman she is and her reputation should be destroyed thru gossip and boycotting everything she does.

i dont think it is sexual assult, cus she was laughing and playfully said no, no, no, and when she seirously said to stop u stopped, i mean really how many times when fooling around with someone have u if u are a girl, or heard a girl say if u are a guy to stop, or quit, but she is giggling, or laughing, and being playful when she says it, and she really doesn't mean it!! maybe she should be more clear next time, and if she does't want to, then maybe she should not laugh and giggle when she is saying it!!

Its a very fine line because if someone else heard that you could get into trouble so uf you gf does say stop then stop. Do you really want to go to jail on a misunderstanding on sexual assault you could lose your rep really bad

It's not sexual assault. He didn't force her or anything, he tried to get something going, which she didn't want at the time. If he held her down and continued, that would be sexual assault. He has to stop, and wait for a better time when she wants to do that.

What part of No don't you get?Maybe she didnt't want to hurt your feelings&make you feel rejected.Sometimes if a girl freaks out,it only makes things worse.thats why No is freakin' No! And 'yes', the law would call that sexual assault. Laughing or not NO is NO,Nimrod!....Get It......?

He sounds like a jerk to me. A guy should wait until she begs him for it. And even then he should proceed with the utmost caution looking for signs she might be rethinking the whole thing. Always the gentlemen, never the *** hole.

If she says stop even if she's laughing when she's saying it. You should stop because accdg to the jury its sexual assault if you continue.

No means NO. When a girl says no, no matter how she says it, the boy must stop. Otherwise it is sexual assault.

i think he should stop the wrestling around trying to cop a feel thing and act like a man. i think he should stop pushing himself on her and although she was trying to be "nice", she must have been annoyed at his behavior and finally realized she must be dead serious to get him to stop.
i don't know if it would be considered "assault", but he was pushing the border.
