In general, I'd say call the next evening if it's a weeknight, call the next day if it's a weekend. Waiting two or more days for no good reason seems like game-playing to me and just raises the anxiety level.

Call her later that day, and be all like "hey, it's really you, everytime I get a chick's number it's never really them, I can't beleive it! It must be my lucky day!!!" And then drone on about your mom and your siblings and what you plan on doing for lunch the next day, and that you wet the bed when you were in elementary school (and in high school)...... nah I'm just messing with you
Wait two days, then call her about an hour after the time on the day that she gave you the number....
Example: She gives you the number on Tuesday at 2pm call her Thursday at 3pm

The sooner the better. She wants you to call or she wouldn't give you her number. Don't wait to long. Some one else could call first.

I prefer the next day. After 3 days I feel like you just didn't find anyone better over the past few days. A polite next day phone call, but don't make date arrangements yet. Have a few conversations over the phone first.

If you have something in your mind, CALL immediately. Of course; make it a social call only... Wait for the right moment and then express yourself after you two achieve some level of comfort & cofidence in your communication...

For some reason we girls like a guy that doesn't appear too eager. I suggest waiting a couple of days, but less than a week.

One day only. If your patience is lost , take the initiative to contact & if the response is again positive but afterwards there is similar silence again for a week, that shows she is not seriously interested & can easily be forgotten.

well i think u can call the same day. i had guys wait a while to call me but my babys dad called me the same nite we got each ohter phone number and i was happy cause i knew he wasnt playin games. ( Tho hes a jerk now "! )
