You're not supposed to get it. It's kinda like the "how many pankakes does it take to shingle a dog house" one. You're just supposed to laugh and tell the person they're crazy.

OK first of all why would you be on a boat in the dessert. then does boats even have wheels? and pancakes don't and can't hold up a house. the word blue has nothing to with ice cream and ice cream to the rest of the joke. who was the genius who asked this riddle???

the rainstorm blew up your boat and gingerbread house.then the sealion ate your ice cream & pancake sundae, so that made you sad/feel blue.that's why the answer is blue because icecream has no bones.
