I don't mean a dangerous speed, but one 5 or 10 miles over the speed limit.

Depends on the speeding violation and the parking violation. Parking in the number one lane during rush hour might be a little worse than speeding a couple over on an open road.
The Lord told us that we were to obey the laws of the land - a bit boiled down but...

If you parked making out with the hottest chick in town and got ticketed, well then I would say the speeding ticket.
On the other hand, let's say you called up Salma Hayek and she agreed to meet you that evening and the smokie's radar got you, then alrighty now, the parking ticket is worse.
But, ............ when the smokie is done writing up the ticket, just make sure you make it on time to see Salma, otherwise, the speeding ticket is worse and we have to revert back to the parking ticket being the best.

From my past experience, I believe a speeding ticket is worse than parking... It costs less for a parking ticket in most places, as well as for not wearing a seat belt..it is cheaper than a speeding ticket. Though not in all locations. But, a speeding ticket will count against your driving record and insurance so, case in point ~~~ Don't speed, it's better to double park.. OKAY ! ? ! lol...lol

A speeding ticket is worse since in most cities you can simply ignore a parking ticket.

5 miles over on I-90 is irrelevant. 5 miles over in a school zone isn't.
Knowingly breaking the law is morally off base. Making a habit out of it is possibly sin.
As a believer, I need to hold myself to the highest standards at all times.
