This came from a Mormons(LDS) mouth.....(quote)"Did you know that the only requirement for being Christian is a belief in Jesus Christ and the bible? Really, thats the only requirement."
The devil knows about Jesus, and the bible.
(I always hear those Mormons saying that.)

James 2:19 "You believe there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder."
Belief in the existence of Jesus doesn't make one a Christian. More is needed.
Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will."
This is the identifying mark of a Christian:
John 13:35 "By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.”

The devils believe and tremble. That verse is found in James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
Yes, the demons know they must meet their maker; in fact, one cried in the presence of Jesus: "And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?" (Matthew 8:29).
Your Mormon friends are not alone in their assumption that Just Believe, and you will be saved forever. The Baptist Church has a "once saved--always saved" doctrine that is very similar.
This is the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes which the Lord twice says: "I hate" (Revelation 2:6, 15). According to Eusebius, the Nicolaitanes endorsed sin to prove a point. They wanted to show they didn't love the world, so gave their wives for others to sleep with--What an insult to God's law that says: "Thou shalt not commit adultery" And these sinners will meet God's wrath.
Yet the Bible says Judgment begins in the house of God--(1 Peter 4:17). And if He did not spare the holy angels that transgressed, what will He do with the unrepentant Christians who make lite of transgression.
Both John the Baptist and Jesus began their message with "repent" and that means be sorry for your sins, and quit sinning.
God has made every provision for humanity. He offered Himself as a substitute through Christ's sacrifice.
He furnishes us with the indwelling Holy Spirit, giving us the ability to live victoriously,
He offers pardon for our failures
gives a measure of faith and strength to endure.
There is a Bible code sealed until "the end of the days." it reveals God's plan of redemption, the timing of the great conflict, and identifies Antichrist. www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

Wow you really know how to mess up all things. You can not just take some sentence here and mix it with another sentence. You have too keep them in context you know. Yes you are right we are all sinner. That means we all deserve to go to Hell. God is righteous that means that He can not let us go unpunished. Gods solution. God pays the prize for your sins. That means that God has to become a human also if God would be only God he could not pay our sins. this is only possible if He is related to us. This is the reason why Jesus became Human in order to pay our penalty. He went to the cross and there He died in our behalf. Accept Jesus and His gift, is your duty, reject it on whatever excuse you want and you will have to pay your own penalty in Hell. That is what the bible teaches.

It seems like most non-LDS Christians believe that all that is needed to be saved is to believe in Jesus Christ.
But, one must follow Christ, and His commandments.

Well in Catholicism, "The Devil" was actually a saint before he became the "The Devil". St.Lucifer ("Now" The devil) used to be a disciple of Christ until he did something wrong I can't remember exactly what it was and he was cast down into hell, but I believe you could find it in the old testament.

I'm pretty sure if there is a devil his heart is black as sin and he doesn't have Jesus in his heart...and Jesus surely doesn't guide his life...
