I tend to believe everything was created by God in its simpilest form. Meaning that God is matter and we were created in his image. Everything has an opposite wich gives us the choice to believe or not to believe. Forming from cingle cell organisms and evolving to were we are now.
I think people take things to literal when reading the bible.

Thanks for the response.
I belong to no certain denomination, and I feel that the yearning inside to continuously search for answers on your own is part of evolution in its purist form.

I will read more about Theistic Evolution.
Thanks again.

So you mean the earth wasn't created 6000 years ago? And dinosaurs are not just their to "confuse us"?

At least you're somewhat enlightened! Well done!

No, you're not!
Science and religion need not be at odds with each other. I believe that the Bible is a history of man's spiritual relationship with his God as he understood Him at the time. Many stories are metaphors used to try and simplify, for the common man, an understanding of who God was or is.

While some want to believe that the Bible is without error, it is humanly impossible to be so. That doesn't not mean it is wrong, or that a basic truth is not revealed within it's pages; I believe that there is!
Science is not a religion. It's purpose is not to prove or disprove any spiritual existence.
We get in deep doo-doo trying to prove one with the other, and vice versa, and it need not be that way!

Do you mean "evolution by design"

Did God code the fist living cells to mutate at specific times?
Was it his plan to populate the Earth with the eventual appearance of a god knowing creature (mankind)?
Has God done this before? Are there other places that have gone through their evolution, similar too, but not exactly like ours? Did not Jesus intimate that he has sheep not of this (earthly) fold. If God is in the Heaven of Heavens then why can't there be billions of God knowing inhabitable places throughout his far-flung universe (heaven).

Evolution is a fact; and so is the resurrection of Jesus. Your not alone.

Peace..........

Read Mark 2:23-27,3:1-6 and Matthew 23 study them u will find some information.

It all started when adam sinned.Because GOD is holy he cant have sin in his presence.so man got seperated from GOD.

So GOD needs something to pay the penalty of sin.JESUS was the perfect sacrifice for our penalty. So JESUS came to earth lived among us and died for us on the cross.JESUS was the penalty.

GOD loves u so much that he sent his son JESUS to die for u to reconcile u back.

John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

are you the first person to believe that religion and science can exist side by side?

uh, no.

Actually Genesis 1 gives a very detailed and accurate description of the big bang and evolution---if one chooses to listen to the metaphorical nature of the narrative. People 10,000 years ago had no business describing the big bang and evolution---unless it was revealed to them by God. And they described it in their limited language. And they described it well.

7 days? Six steps? An intelligent person ---or a dumb guy like me who wants to figure out the truth, can find a union with science in Genesis 1.

nope, ur not the only one, i agree. I also believe God created us, only the God i mean is The Goddess(or Lady). We do have a choice to believe or not believe, and yes, some take the bible too literally. I agree fully on this. And yes, i also believe in evolution, only mine is that we had previous lives and we came from them to finish their(our) work. so no, ur not the only one.

Blessed be!!!!

depends what type of evolution your referring too. If monkeys to humans then no. If other types of same kind, then yes. After the great flood, every single type of dog on earth today wasn't there, just like all the diff human races weren't, variety appeared based on genes and envirnmental factors. No pale skinned people native in the hot/sunny countries, they are in the cold/moderate areas, etc. Thats hundreds of years the body adapting to those climates.

Now a days your belief is the same as many main stream religions. It is only the fanatics that will disagree with you. The last thing I heard about the Bible is that it is inspired by god to tell you stories that show you the proper way to live.

The Russian Orthodox Church does the same thing.

Jesus took the Old Testament, the oldest part of the Bible literally. If I am a follower of Jesus' teachings, I must do the same.

Bravo dude. I don't have a problem with people who believe that god got the universe rolling, so to speak. I only have a problem with the fundies who keep insiting evolution is a hoax and that the world is only 6,000 years old.

My priest (who was my professor) said that the Bible says God created the world, but did not say how He did it-and that evolution could have been a tool that He uses(d).
