the truth is that bad things happen to good people.
my daughter was killed in a car wreck when she was 21, it was not because God, or Jesus allowed it, it was because some Idiot was driving too fast and ran into her. lets put the blame where the blame is due. and quit expecting God to make every thing right, when dumb people do bad things.

Before there is a rainbow, there must first be a storm.
I look at it like this, pain only strengthens my faith because I know that there has to be something good to come out of it even if I don't know what it is at the time. Sometimes our actions cause our own pain though, and then we blame God. Other times things happen to us that we have no control over, but through faith we are strengthened. Sometimes the small pains are there so that when we face the larger pain we can handle it. I've been through a lot in my life and I think that if it weren't for those small hills that I had to climb, the mountains that I have faced would have been too much.
And sometimes the pain we face prepares us for God's plan for our lives. It is because of what I have been through that my goals today are what they are.
Use your pain, sorrow, anger, whatever it may be, and channel it into something positive to make a difference in the world.
Remember, He will never put more on you than you can bear.

I am also a Believer in Christ but I follow the original Christian Essenes Who have the original new Testament before king Constantine changed and omitted so many things. One has to understand Karma and Reincarnation and hell only a temporary place to understand the unlimited mercy and love of God. You are correct it makes no sense why God would say eny miny miney moe you get this for no reason and you get that for no reason. Like a child who is born blind or sick and another rich and healthy. That is only due to past life karma. There is no other answer. There is no sin in the spiritual world. Only a thought of envy makes one fall to the material world. So no one can have a whole life time of bad things happen to them unless they did those things to others in a previous life. Seek out the original truth of Christ go to gospelofthenazirenes.co You will be enlivened with the original teachings of Jesus Christ.

I wonder that everyday friend when I remember my father passing away in his big chair in the living-room. Even though it hurt, I also knew his body was shutting down from over forty years of diabetes and he had a TOTAL coronary. Nothing ANYONE or anybody can do about that. There was no saving him. Our human bodies are a strange and wonderful thing, yet.....they can turn on us when we least expect it or we don't care for them properly. I cant blame that on God. I have to except the fact that I have an earthly body now....and with all of that, comes death. God never said our lives here on earth would be perfect or filled with joy all the time, but he did promise to be there when we needed him.
I don't think all answers will be known till we stand before our maker.
Your question is the question on almost every ones minds, even those who do not believe.

We rarely understand why God does things. But I really believe that everything happens for a reason and God wont give you anything you cant handle.
All I can say is that God puts us through times of suffering to make you stronger and closer to him. Suffering is a gift ( I know that seems impossible to believe but its true) it shows us that God would like you to become closer to him. Once you get past your time of suffering you will be SO close to God. We all have crosses to bear...and if the burden seems too much to bear ask for a little help from God. "the way i look at it is if we did not have suffering, then all of life would be good and happy(kinda like this place called heaven) so if earth is perfect why would we want to work to to go to heaven? also since death causes suffering(both for the person dieing and those around them, it is necessary for mortal life to exist and in a world withouut suffering there really wouldnt eb death so again, why/how would you go to heaven?)
also, life would be really boring without some form of suffering we wouldnt appreciate thr gifts God has given us at all because everything would be good anyway. there would be no "really happy" events cause everything would be happy. the emotional graph of you life would be a flat line
also without suffering there can be no love, since we must suffer in order to better the one we love. all in all suffering is an important part of our lives and it would be very different, but not better, without it "
-my friend matt said that...he's right.
God Bless!

One reason for suffering is “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is comforting for us to know that God does not cause suffering. He is not responsible for the wars, the crimes, the oppression, or even the natural disasters that cause people to suffer. Still, we need to know, Why does Jehovah allow all this suffering? If he is the Almighty, he has the power to stop it. Why, then, does he hold back? The loving God that we have come to know must have a good reason.—1 John 4:8.

Taylor,
That is a great question. I understand your frustrations I share them. There are a few ways to answer this question those I do believe one answer to be the best. One way is to say that God does not really care but I don’t think you believe this. The disciples in the boat thought this however. the disciples when they were in the boat and Jesus with them in the boat, though Jesus was asleep. They could boast in their faith when they first stepped in the boat. ‘We have the lord with us and we are going to the other side’. What a sure confidence they had while the weather was mild but when the trials and the temptations came in the form of waves washing into the boat they became afraid that all is lost. The one with them in the boat, the Lord, does not seem to care, so they reasoned. Where was their faith? It was going down with the ship, so it seemed but because they were so troubled they did what seemed best to do when one is keenly aware that the matter is completely out of ones hands, there being no power in them to effect a change, they cried out to the Lord, “Save us!” and He who was in the boat with them who is our Peace with God the Father brought peace in the midst of the storm.
Another way to answer is to say God can do nothing about it but I don’t believe that either because all things are possible for Him. He makes the blind and the seeing and He raises the dead and brings low the proud.
Another way is to say there are none good, no not one this is what Isaiah said and Paul reiterated. No one good, no one seeks God. But God does make us who were evil, who were the bad trees, He makes us good trees in Christ, Christ being our righteousness. So, if we are made good by Him alone who is Good. The question must still be answered,
“Why do bad things happen to good people?”
The answer that I believe and, granted, is a hard one is ‘Bad things happen to good people to bless them” I know I will get many thumbs down on this one but God bless you in suffering. The suffering servant is the Lord Himself. God blesses you in Christ’s suffering. He is Good and yet suffered that blessing would be given you. In this life there are many crosses but look to His cross, Look to Him who for the joy set before Him endured the cross despising the shame.
There are many afflictions we Christians must suffer some more than others but Glory will come just don’t look to glory but to the Christ of the cross.

God does allow bad things, (Book of Job) First think of how more good things happen and give God the glory for that, then think of all the bad things God holds back from happening. Now imagine if God stepped aside, Now how many bad thing would there be without any chance of goodness.

Every trial and suffering has a message for us.
Sometimes God allows us to suffer in order to bring something good from it. The suffering and death of Jesus gave humanity a reason to hope and to believe in the resurrection. Christianity would not be what it is now were it not for its martyrs. The holocaust opened the eyes of the world to the evils of Nazism and racism. It also enabled the Jewish people to return to their homeland.
Buddhists have a nice way of explaining the mystery. It is basically the same as the Christian teaching on dying to ourselves: "to live is to suffer, to suffer is caused by desire, to transcend desire is the middle way, the middle way leads to nirvana." That sounds like spiritual euthanasia. Jesus Christ and the great saints of the Church took the teaching one step further. They said to end suffering one must not only learn how to control desires. One must also learn how to love unselfishly because love heals, nourishes and redeems us. What St. Paul said is true. Love conquers all things.
I hope this helps you.
Peace and every blessing!

That's an excellent question to ask yourself. You simply cannot ignore, and this is only one of many examples, the fact that children are abused, tortured, sexually abused every single day in the U.S., are starving or trying to live in some war-torn area in other countries. These things cannot simply be explained away by all those religious cliches. How can anyone in their right mind witness these things going on and say to themselves, "oh god has a plan" or "he wants them as angels" and still sleep at night?

I understand your question. I have sought God over this many times as I have had a lot of what appeared to be bad things happen to me. But he has proven faithful. But we must seek him with all of our heart and mind, cause some reasons are hidden, unless he reveals them to us.
But it does say in Proverbs or Psalms: That a curse causeless comes not. That means there is a reason for everything.
