They don't have crosses on their churches either. It's because I think deep down, they know they're not real Christians. And it would be a major insult to the Christian church if they did. Then the Christians will bible bash those Mormons off this continent. Like what happened when the people mobbed them and forced them no move to Utah. I really feel bad for them.

Christians are all about bearing the Cross. And just cause you believe in Jesus doesn't make you a Christian. The devil believes in Jesus,...is the Devil a Christian?

That's not what we believe, sweetie. We fully believe Christ suffered on the cross. That was a major part of the Atonement. You might want to check your sources. And we don't consider the cross a torture device, no matter how greatly Christ suffered while on it. We don't think of it as a death symbol. And we do not ignore that part of the Atonement at all. Where in the world are you getting your information? For the record, though, the fact that our art work and so on focuses more on the resurrected Christ is not a slur against the cross. Though the cross is the most common symbol of Christianity, there isn't any rule saying it must be the only one. This hardly makes us less Christian. After all, isn't the important thing to keep Christ in mind?

We don't wear crosses, or decorate our churches with them. The Cross is not the important event. The Atonement and the rising from the dead.

The Atonement was in the Garden. Without his prayer, and choosing to give his life, the cross would have been meaningless. Same thing with the resurrection. It would not have benefited mankind to have our sins forgiven if there was no resurrection.

You can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. Not the jewelry that is worn.

We could wear a cross if we wanted to. But, the cross was the most inhumane form of torturous death imaginable.

And wearing a cross or not is not proof that one is a Christian. There is no law or rule that one must wear a cross to be considered a Christian.

We don't wear a cross because we focus more on the fact that Christ atoned for our sins in the garden of Gethsemane so that we can live with him again.

No Christian should wear a cross.
1. Jesus was murdered on a stauros. (post).
2. Nowhere in the Bible (by Jesus, God or the disciples), was anyone guided to make an image of the murder weapon, for either; a:identification as a Christian. or b;a way to aknowledge the murder of Jesus.
3. The image of the cross clearly originated 1000's of years before Jesus walked the earth, and is easily traced to Babylon and many pagan religions.

Check out the historyof the cross in the book; "The Two Babylons" by the late Rev. Alexander Hislop.
Then, if you feel comfortable with your passion for this pagan image, let go of the fact that it is God-dishonoring and enjoy.

I can wear a cross if i wanted to, it's just not something that we focus on. We try to focus on His life and His teachings. Yes, the suffering He did was horrible and He did die for my sins. But His real suffering for my sins was done in the garden of gethsemane, where the pain was so great he cried out to His father to please make it stop if it be His will, and bled from every pore. And what he did for me in gethsemane is what gave all of us the atonement, which was the true sacrifice. The cross was a symbol of those who hated Him, it was meant to be scournful and mocking of Him. It's comparable to an execution today. I don't want to be reminded of that and pay amage in a way to those who persecuted Him. I carry His love with me everday, but I don't have to wear it around my neck to know that it's real and to know that He gave me the greatest gift of all which was the atonement.

I don't think anyone has ever told me that I can't wear a cross...but I would never want to! I love Jesus Christ, and am forever grateful for the power of his atoning sacrifice. It is what my life and my religion revolves around. His LOVE! His grace, and his ability to love me enough to kneel down and suffer every pain, sin, and heartbreak that I have and will ever have felt. He did that for every single person on Earth, every person who has lived, and every person who will live and die.
The cross represents his cruel murder, and personally do not wish to hold a symbol that negates everything He lived for. LDS people believe that he loved us (human beings)enough to go through what he went through, sacrificing his life, FOR us....not BECAUSE of our sins...

Many religions teach that we are born in sin, and LDS people simply do not believe that, for we believe that Jesus Christ is an example of charity of the purest form.
Although I am a recent convert to the Church, I am not new to the opposition to the LDS church. We are Christ followers...True followers in fact for we are practicing the church that He himself established on the earth.

Joseph Smith died clutching on to these very beliefs, and was killed by opposers...The Spirt of the Holy Ghost testified to me that this is all true. Science cannot argue with what I feel in my heart.

And the fact that I can't find many LDS people chanting rude, or disrespectful oppositions...There is love in our hearts, because we truly do our best to follow Jesus Christ's loving example.

I don't wear a cross and I am on my way to heaven.
I see that it's pretty much a fashion accessory and Goths are into it big time.
I don't know why anyone has to wear a cross or can't, that's legalism, not Christianity.

We believe that Christ's atonement sulminated on the cross, but most it it took place and began in the garden the night before. We also focus on the life of Christ, not his death. I do not know why you would have to wear a cross to be a Christian. We do wear temple garments to remind us of Christ and our promises to him, but we wear those as inward signs.

Cross is a graven image, idol. Wearing the cross, worshipping it, was done far before Jesus time, pagan symbol for the pagan god Tammuz, representing penatration. So called christians didn't start wearing the cross till several hundred years after christs death, when constantine trying to convert pagans allowed them to keep their traditions and incorporate them into christianity, adding filth to true worship. Wearing the cross is also an insult to God, your worshipping and thanking the device used to torture and kill his son, when it should be God and Jesus your thanking. What if your child had the ability to save the world from a disease and the cure was in his/her blood and all of it was needed, after its done, the world thanks and praises the needle that sucked every drop of your childs blood out. PRAISE THE NEEDLE!!!!

I can go on and on, but any true christian would not have anything to do with the cross. I am also not mormon (the bible forbids adding anything to it, and they don't follow the bible, but a book from a false prophet)
