Get the cheap MAX dvd player from Futureshop. Around 25 bucks. Plays Euro movies for sure...

Cambridge Audio makes a region FREE DVD Player. It is called the Cambridge Audio DVD89:

This unit is also a universal unit and support SACD and DVD Audio as well.
It sports upconversion up to 1080i through the component video, DVI and HDMI video outputs. Yes, it has all three.
The picture quality is stellar for a unit in this price range, you would be hard pressed to find one that performs better with these features under $1000.

What you are looking for is any player that is rated " region 0 " That is zero, not an "O". Too many brand names and stores to tell you much else.

If you need a player that plays dvd's from around the world, get this one and keep it in the closet for when you need it. Works quite well and pictures are crystal clear.
