Genuine, unselfish, unreserved love. With love, just about everything else will fall into place, but it SURE isn't easy! And spend as much TIME with them as you possibly can. ALWAYS volunteer to be the parent who is involved with whatever your kids are involved with. My kids have always been the main focus of my life and it has been repaid to me many times over by having grownup *kids* who love to be with me.
