it all depends, i need more info though before i can start, is it an automatic or a stick, if it is an auto, does it have a lock up torque converter?

You're most likely looking at a vacuum leak, probably at the pcv valve, just like waterboy said. Also, fuel pump or filter could cause the problem. If it runs worse at lower rpm, it is probably the vacuum leak. If it runs worse at higher rpm, it is probably fuel related.

maybe an oxygen sensor or speed control sensor. one last thing to check for. see if it has an automatic electronic control valve (aecv).
