You've got a fungus growing. Not to worry, it's quite common. See your doctor and ask him/her about a drug called Penlac. It's a topical drug that you paint on your nails like a nailpolish. Or, if you want better results, ask him/her about a drug called Lamisil. It's an oral anti-fungal drug that you'll have to take for at least 3 months (90 days), but be careful because it can have some nasty side effects. The only other option is to keep your toenails cut, buffed, and painted at all times.

Yep. Everybody is right. You have a toe nail fungus. What they haven't told you, though, is that there IS a good non prescription remedy for this. I read about it in the Ask Dr. Gott newspaper column. He recommended using Vicks Vapor Rub! Yeah that's right. Vicks Vapor Rub. He said he didn't know why it works but it works. I used it and my fungus is gone!
You have to first trim the nail back as far as you can into the nail bed (without causing bleeding). Then you apply Vicks Vapor Rub and rub into the entire nail every morning and every night. This will take a while to work because you have to continue this while you are growing a new toe nail free of fungus. When the nail is fully grown out and looks normal you should continue to apply the Vapor Rub for about another month or so. Good luck.

I'm currently taking Lamisil for a fungus infection on two fingernails. My doctor informed me that it has been improved, and there are no side effects. But if you don't have medical insurance, Lamisil is very expensive, about $300, I'm told.

You have toenail fungus. The only cure is a prescription from your Dr. It has to heal from the inside of your body. The topical treatments do no good.

Well it depends if we were at my place or his. My place, I would just kick it off the bed and I could bet money he would never notice the difference. His? Well, after sex when he is passed off on the bed, pretend you have to go to the bathroom, pick it off the floor and throw it away.
