So is the problem that your mom's friend already promised the kitten to another family or is the problem that your mom won't let you get one??

Go out and get a job so that you can offer to pay for the medical treatments and care the kitten will need. Oh that's right! Your just a kid with no $. You want a pet and that's great but there is a lot of responsibility involved. Do you take care of the other pets? Do you bath the dogs and take them for walks? Do you feed the animals every night? Or do your parents? If you don't shoulder any of the work, why would they want another animal that they have to take care of. Kittens and puppies are sooooo cute but your parents get all the work. And then when they get older and not as cute, they still need all the attention. So I guess you have figured out my answer. . .Do you deserve the kitten? Can you take care of it? Will you take care of it? Can you afford it? Will you always take care of it? Your kitten will live for about 15 years. You will have graduated and moved on to college or a job and that cat will still be living at your parents. Think about it. Can you offer that kitten what it deserves? I don't blame you a bit. . .I want every kitten I see. . .

You have two dogs and a cat. Seems like you have too many pets already. I had a friend just like you when i was a kid. She would cry and beg for that kitty or puppy, and she would get it.
Then when it grew up she wanted a new kitty or puppy!!! That is not nice. You should love your animals from day one until the last day.
This kitten you want, it will grow up too. Your mother knows this, and she knows you won't want it anymore. Your mother is smart not to give into you.
If you really spent time with your pets I bet you would not have a need for a new baby one. This is really sad, my friend did not grow out of this. I hope you will, take care of the pets you have.

I'll tell you how to convince your mom to let you have a kitten.
But first of all: Hold up, wait a minute... How old are you????? And are you on your moms account asking these questions?
I went through some of your answers to other questions, and sometimes you sound like such a flakey ... like,... valley girl who, like... isn't... like, older than like... 12.
But in other answers you sound like an adult, and sometimes even of sound mind. Like in one post you have a daughter that "gets sick" when you want a day off, but now you have to "ask mom" to have cat?
Either way, you definitely sound like a pre-teen child in the majority of your posts. So Im gonna say this.
All you kids nowadays are way too spoiled. You already have 3 pets, and I think you just want a second cat because right now its a kitten, and its just soooo cute. Then when it gets big, and loses all its fuzzy adolesent cuteness, you'll abandon it like you probably have with the other 3 pets, and beg mommy for the next cute animal that you set your eyes on.
Little girl... Reality check, not everything in life is gonna go your way, no matter how much you beg and bother anyone. No means NO, take no for an answer. Especially when your moms friend already promised the kittens to someone else. How would you like it if you're moms friend promised YOU those kittens, then at the last minute, gave them to someone else. You should be slapped for being so selfish.
Better yet, someone needs to slap your mom for letting you be such a rotten little brat about it.
If I were your mom, I would say this to you
"Ok honey, I'll let you have a kitten. Before we even get a kitten you are going to sign a contract though, stating that you and only you are responsible for that kitten. You will buy all its food, it's kitty litter, and all its toys yourself. You will also be the only one responsible for cleaning the litter box and feeding your cat. You have to save up for its first vet visit. Because you need $30 just to walk in the door at the vet, then $50 for the examination and all the little extras that come along with it. Next we have to spend $80 on vaccinations. And when we're done with that, we have to schedule another appointment for 4 months down the road to have it nuetered at a cost of $80 for a male or $140 for a female - don't forget the extra $30 to walk in the door again. Plus I'm going to require that you have at least $300 in a seperate savings account in case of a cat emergency. If the cat destroys anything (furniture, curtains, electrical cords etc.) then you will replace whatever item it destroys. Furthermore, if you break the contract in any way, I will take the cat to a shelter, and garnish your allowance (I'm sure you have one, you're way too much a brat NOT to) until all expenses are paid for. If you agree to all these rules, then start saving. When you have the start up costs ready, THEN we'll start looking for a kitten. You are not going to get one of my friend's kittens. End of discussion."
Even better, why dont you save up all that money in secret and write the contract yourself. Then when you're ready, show your mom what you've done, and let her see how responsible you are. Thats how you convince her. She'll actually probably be willing to take on part of the costs.
If that seems like way too much work for you, then guess what. You arent ready to be responsible for another living thing!!!! And you really don't want that kitten THAT bad.
Oh, and P.S. --- if youre a teen mom, another reality check. DUH! You have a child to take care of. You don't need another cat on top of it! You should be focusing all your energy on that little girl.

Maybe you should focus on the three animals you already have. When you have so many animals its easy to neglect them. It doesn't sound like you need another cat, especially if they are going to a family that also really wants a kitten and doesn't have any pets.

If mom's friend already promised them to another family, where's the problem....the kittens are gone. And if you really want one so bad, why not adopt one from an animal shelter?

Stop bugging your mom and be thankful that you already have 2 dogs and a cat. Lots of kids' parents don't let them have any pets at all.

prove to her that you are responsible enough to keep the pet. Let her see that you are extreamly dedicated. Research the good points about owning a kitten, and write down a list, and show her!!! If she sees that you have looked deeply into it, then she may consider! And if you end up being allowed to get a kitten, go to your local pet shelter, and help save a kittens life there!!!
Good luck :)

Sounds like the kittens have good homes, you have lots of animals and your mom is probably annoyed at you. Maybe it's time to quit while you are ahead.

If she promised them to someone else, how can she go back on her word and give one to you.. That is rather selfish of you to even ask her, knowing that she has made another committment.. Grow up..
