normal adult bp is 100-140 over 60-90. at sixteen you have the functioning body of an adult. normal pulse rate for the same age range is 80-120. so, you fall within the normal ranges, however, you should always talk to your personal physician about your health and your vital signs.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

It isn't great. I'm going to assume that you are adult height. (For anyone under 18 blood pressure levels are based on height.) Ideally your blood pressure would be below 120/80. I think you should be more concerned about your heart rate. A normal heart rate for an adult (again assuming you are adult sized or close to it) is 60-90. Anything over 90 is considered tachycardia. If you regularly consume caffeinated beverages, you might want to stop. The "energy" drinks are usually highly caffeinated and may have other herbal additives that can cause increase in heart rate. If you have a family history of heart disease or hypertension you really need to discuss your risk with your doctor. They may send you to a cardiologist or do blood work to see if your cholesterol is elevated (another risk factor). You really need to check with your doctor to see what you should be doing to improve your "numbers." Good luck!

Well, let's put it this way - I hope you'd just been running fast, or jogging up stairs or something. Normal BP is 110 to 120 over 70 to 80, and normal pulse rate is 70 to 80 beats per minute.

You need to measure your blood pressure at different times of the day and in different circumstances to make a good sampling data pool.
One blood pressure reading is not enough to say yes you have high blood pressure.
