The questioner is correct. The Bible clearly states that Saturday is to be observed as the Sabbath. The Catholic church mandated Sunday as the day of worship by removing it from their list of commandments. There are even cases of religious persecution by the Roman Catholic Church when people tried to follow the Bible. However, we are not saved by keeping the commandments only. To those that may twist my words, if you continue to worship on Sunday given what you read in the Bible, then you are committing sin.

Jesus said that HE was Lord of the sabbath. He was raised on sunday and that is when the early church started meeting. Do you want to go back in time and tell Paul and Peter they were wrong? Did they not have the Holy Spirit in the fullest?

the Sabbath is saturnday. look on your calendar and it lasted from Friday at 6:00 to Saturday at 6:00. the only reason we go to church on Sunday is for the first day of the week or as some call it , first fruits. actually tithe wasn't actually required by God it was required by Roman stipulation as a tax. so when you go tithing, just think about it. give to the people who really need it. like that person on your block who cant feed their baby or that guy down the street who can't pay his rent.

This verse commands REST, not communal worship.
Worship, in the Jewish community, happenned EVERY day of the week, at certain hours of the day. The Sabbath was simply a "high day" of the week for worship.

Sure, if we were still under the curse of the ceremonial law that Jesus fulfilled instead of under grace we should go to church on Saturday. But a Christian can go to church any day of the week that they want to, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday...
Christians are just not supposed to forsake the assembling of themselves together, not keep OT ceremonial laws. As it is written in the NT after Jesus freed us from the curse of the law.
Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
If you really want to keep the OT Sabbath law then you had better start at 6PM Friday night until 6PM Saturday night. Don't do any work, don't light a fire like on your stove, and don't even go out in your yard and gather up some sticks or leaves on your lawn. Then you will be keeping God's command to the Israelites. If your church is further away than the distance of how wide the camp of the Israelites was when they were crossing the wilderness then you can't walk to church on the Sabbath either. That's what's known as a Sabbath days journey (Acts 1:12). Oh, and going to church is not a Sabbath requirement. Not working is the main thing.
Exodus 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. 3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.
Numbers 15:32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. 33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. 34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him. 35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. 36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Funny thing is... Christ rose on a Sunday, and the (at the time) Jews who were followers of Him celebrated and rejoiced. When Christianity exploded in Palestine in 32 A.D., they decreed that the day of worship would be Sunday - thus celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Hope this helps.

When Jesus came, He affirmed all commandments except the sabbath. Jesus commanded that we worship every day upon the advent of the Holy Spirit.
The disciples worshipped as a group on the first day of the week, Sunday, and so we as Christians worship as a group on that day.
If you have Jesus Christ as your Savior and the Holy Spirit in your heart, you worship every day of the week praising God.

I don't know why Christians still aren't getting this. That is Jewish Law Christ came to free us from the Law by fulfilling the law. Our only Command to Love the Lord our God with all our heart, love our neighbor as our self, and to love our enemy and pray for those who persecute us. Our command is Love. God's love is defined in 1 Corinthians 13. We fulfill all the law by walking in Love. We are to observe everyday as holy and set apart for God. We do not have to fulfill the law because Christ did that for us. Matthew 5:17 Galatians 3:24 John 15:12
