Good Lord, NO! That's "The Godmakers", a product of the very fertile imagination of Ed Decker. This man is an ex-Mormon with a Utah-sized chip on his shoulder about the church. An organization called the National Council of Christians and Jews in Arizona called this film "religious pornography". It was also panned by the B'nai Brith.

Well, actually, I should say that he has taken some of what we believe, some of what some imagine, and twisted it around to make it look evil and sordid. For instance, we do not believe that the Celestial Kingdom is one continual round of "celestial sex" or that women will be eternally pregnant, giving birth to spirit "babies" (changing nappies of spirit "poop"). We do not believe that God came to Mary as a man and did the dirty with her. and so on.

Some truth, but much twisted and intermingled with individual interpretation. I must say, referralguru, who above was sticking up for the creator of the Godmakers, is likely the one with his head in the sand, not Mormon4. Ed Decker was excommunicated from the Mormon church for teaching false docrtine. Do you think he would all of a sudden teach true doctrine now that he's not a member? Of course not. I'm not sure why someone would look to material from someone outside a religion to learn truths of a particular religion, because any logical and educated person knows it wouldn't be the purest and bias free information. I've studied hundreds of religions and I've always used thier texts and talked with their adherents and visited their churches/temples/etc. Good luck with whatever your goals are.

About the only thing true in that is that we are called Mormons. That video is silly. Honestly, people have too much time worrying about who is "right" and proving who is "wrong". Seriously, that video is pretty pathetic. In my opinion, satan is in the hearts of those who made that video and they are doing his work for him.

If you really want to know what we believe, speak with some missionaries, visit a church, go to LDS.org or mormon.org and get your info from the source, directly. Would you ask a plumber how to perform brain surgery? I hope not.

That comes from the video tha Godmakers, and based on Mormon Scripture it is quite accurate. Mormons will try to condemn the maker of the GodMakers - Ed Decker it has been said he has been known to exxagerate things in the second Godmakers film however in regards to this part of footage you can back this up with Mormon Texts. Sorry I am not a Mormon and will never be one.

EDIT I think mormon_4 answer goes to show that a lot of mormons love to live with their heads in the sand and denounce a lot of their scripture and doctrine. They are either very naive or actually know it all and dont want the rest of the world to know their strange doctrine. If you want verses of mormon text to outline all these aspects of the cartoon, email me I will give you the correct verses etc. Just to happily prove mormon_4 wrong. He/She can bag Ed Decker all they want, truth remains it is part of Mormon doctrine.

EDIT And the reason people such as Jessica below me are sore at you for not mentioning it is the Godmakers that you have linked to is that they can get excommunicated for looking at such anti mormon stuff. THe Church would hate them to know what it really teaches.

I am not a Mormon, but thanks for the videos.

Maybe you can answer some of my questions:

In the Mormon church, what is meant by the term "special baptism"?

How do Mormons make oil in the temples, so that the women can keep it on hand for the coming of Jesus (as in the parables)? Do they use (or claim to use) Enochian magic to produce it?

How many times has the average Mormon taken the Bloody Oath?

Why is it that Mormons seem to deny taking The Bloody Oath, and oaths in general,

Wow they totally changed the story from when I learned it in 1970. It was differant, but when I learned it, the african Americans were not allowed to hold the preisthood. I don't remember were all of satans demons came from. It went something like this, Jesus presented his plan, to bring everyone back and Satan presented his plan to force everyone back. God like Jesus plan and thus made his the savior, Satan got mad and revolted. Those that were on Jesus side were white, those that were neutral or couldn't decide which side to fight on were Asian (half white/half black) and those that were on satan's side were black. The first part of the vidoe is paganism and Poligamy. I didn't watch the rest, I have dial-up.

How dare you provide a link to a Godmakers video without warning a member of the church what it is.

You are not someone interested in knowing what we truly believe, you are only interested in trying to hurt members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
