how long should i keep hair color on?

the instructins say 20 minutes for regular and 30 minutes for gray. i have blond hair, but am going a little lighter. i dont want to be orange. should i do the 30 minutes?

i also have blonde hair...i was doing the same thing u are, and i left it in for the 30..i turned orange! i had to go to the salon and spend $105.00 so the lady could take it out and correct my color...i would advise u go to a salon...just incase. :)

Unless you have gray hair do the 20 minutes... Take it from a dye job queen...
