Not necessarily. Completing high school shows that you can stay the course and finish what you start. The ability to obtain employment that offers a living wage kind of depends on that. However, there are many successful people who found alternative ways to earn a living (legal ways.) Having high school and college education just makes it easier.

Not necessarily...but it's not a good way to start off one's adult life.

I'd suggest working at it until you pass...and then moving forward. Not having a high school diploma or GED can impair your ability to get jobs, and further education would be very difficult.
