Did you genuinely ask Him to save you?
come into your life and change you? did you surrender your life to Him? did you ask Him to forgive you of your sins and make you the person that He wants you to be? if you did and you meant it than you do have a relationship with God. Satan will try to tell you that you are not saved. He will make you feel like you do not have assurance of your faith. trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

If your talking to GOD like you would your Best friend, Your Dad, Your everything and to just want to fellowship with Him for Him and not what He can do for you or what You can get from Him. And if things are going according to the Bible, I wouldn't think that it could get any more genuine than that. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

As the poster above stated about the tree and it's fruits.

The measurement of becoming enlightened or one with God, is clearly evident in how loving and compassionate you truly are towards yourself and others. Don't waste your time trying to serve a entity that isn't there. You'll miss the boat entirely.

Instead, focus on the energy within yourself. Understand your position in the universe and how "you" perpetually affect it.
Chase nothing. Live in the here and now and experience life to the fullest of your ability.

Look to see if your faithful walk is producing fruit.
Don't do works just to try to make fruit.
Faithfully follow Christ in loving obedience and the fruit naturally develops.

Here's an illustration that may help. I have an ash tree in my yard. If that ash tree strains and tries to produce apples, it sure won't happen. Why? It's an ASH tree.
But the apple tree in my yard, BECAUSE it's an apple tree, cannot help but grow apples.
A spiritual person produces spiritual fruit.
We have this promise, that if we abide in Christ, we will have fruit.
By the fruits we know each other.

I could get a ton of sermons out of this, but I'll end by saying that if you are in Christ, you are a new creation. You have a new nature (spiritually alive now). If you are not alive unto Christ, you are yet dead in your sins.
So, GOT FRUIT?

Ask yourself this. Have I grown in holiness this past year? a little is better than nothing at all. We are supposed to be growing in holiness. Ways to do that would be to read your Bible daily, pray daily, obey God's commandments. Another way to tell is your attitude toward sin. Are you having a battle with sin at all? If your a Christian you should be. Its a never ending battle. But if you have no problems with sin, then you never lost the battle, you just weren't even in it. And look at the fruit of the spirit, are you lacking in any of them?

Darling, God Almighty sent his son Jesus because he knew, we are not perfect, because we are made of flesh.."The spirit is willing but our flesh is weak"..Your goal is to study God's word so that your spirit will rule your flesh..The only thing that you can do is be the best that you can be..How? Consider God before everything that you say and do..God Almighty knows your heart. God Almighty looks right past your flesh straight into your heart..love and peace

I think the first Q you need to ask is, is your faith genuine? If your faith is flawed or non-existant, so will your relationship with God.

Pray and surrender yourself to God. Invite Him into all aspects of your life whether it be your home, job, relationship, etc, etc, etc,. God will accept your invitation and you will definitely notice the changes that will take place in your life. I sure did. I will be praying for you. Peace and God bless.

An honest question. I think that genuine means you believe it is real, long lasting, and concrete. I think you need to create this out of yourself.
