That's how I was when I first went veg, too. I didn't know how to replace what I gave up with meat.

There are many substitutes for meat. You can make tacos or burritos with refried beans or veggie burger crumbles. Same with sloppy joes. There's veggie chicken, turkey, bacon, etc. Buy veggie substitutes and you can eat many of the same things you used to eat. I'd also recommend tofu (seriously) and polenta in cooking. You can make very good healthy food with those. Here's some excellent vegetarian recipes:

Be careful if you do NOT eat any meat. You will be missing certain proteins, minerals, and trace elements that you can only get sufficient quantity from meat. You won't notice it any time soon, but your organs may suffer in the long run.

Human beings evolved eating meat. We are capable of handling animal proteins and everything else that goes with it. What is un-healthy is we just eat too much of it.

Also, you need certain amount of fat. If you entirely eliminate fat, your skin will dry out.

A good, healthy diet is a good balance. It is not elimination of one particular group of food. If you want to eat candy or chips, go right ahead. Perhaps a small bag on weekends? Just don't do it everyday in HUGE quantity!
