As long as the puppy hasnt been outside unattended and has no bite marks on him yes of course. Consult your vet for when it will be the best time to get her her shots. Some vets have half off shots on sunday, if you hunt around.

Any time your animal has not had all of it's vaccines take extra care to keep it away from anything that can give it that disease. As long as puppy hasn't been in contact with any other animal that may have rabies (coons, possums, cats, squirrels, stray dogs, etc) then your pup doesn't have it. Make sure you get the vaccine at 12 weeks (3 months) like you're supposed to.

Puppies can generally start receiving Rabies vaccines when they are 12 weeks old. Prior to that time they should be protected from their mothers antibodies provided their mother was vaccinated and the puppies were nursed.

Of course it is... BUT....PLEASE make sure you teach your children to ALWAYS play gently with the puppy. And they should also be limited in the playing time. A puppy that young needs rest, and you should be starting to train the puppy so you will not have behavior problems when it gets older.
P.S. If you don't have one, this is the perfect time to get her a crate. It helps with crate training (for housebreaking her) and it is also a "safe haven" for her when she is tired of playing, and needs her rest.

Letting your kids play with a four week old pups it ok only if they are very carefull with the pup. It is so young and quite frankly should not be away from it's mother yet.
The kids will be fine I'd worry about the pup!

So long as she hasn't been in contact with an animal that you suspect had Rabies. They can't the vaccine until they're older but that doesn't mean they carry the disease.

I doubt that your children will give her rabies. Really, the pup would have had to have been exposed to some rabid mammel so unless it is outside all the time and you have coons, skunks, etc running around, chances of having rabies is nearly nil.

well, if you've had the puppy for at least a week, then for sure, you'd know by now if she had rabies.
Be sure she gets her first shots soon and the vet will check her out at that time... I'm sure everything is good!
