wash them with mild soap, rinse well, and pat dry at least twice a day. do not put any antiperspirant or deodorant on while they heal-keep them clean and dry. do this for three days and see if there is an improvement, or not. if improved, continue this until they are no longer irritated. if no improvement, see your doctor. you can use a small coat of hydrocortisone cream for the itchiness after each washing. don't shave again until the area is cleared up!

next time you shave, make sure you only stroke the razor across each strip of skin once, rinse it between strokes, and rinse your armpits two or three times afterwards. it also helps to shave from the arm toward the body only-don't go back and forth.

best wishes!

I have this problem too, the doctor told me to use a fresh razor every time and to always shave in one direction, and when using soap to use antibacterial soap, all these tend to help my outbreaks but i dont know about the discoloration it has always been there on mine

If your name means you're black, you might need to use a depilatory cream, or wax. The curliness of some black people's hair can cause it to grow back into the skin after being shaved.
