Lets go over this real quick.
Your hair is over processed. Your hair is damaged. Its probably dry. And on top of that you use an iron on it daily which is making it worse. You also want this fast and cheap?

Well - fast or cheap? Which is more important? First, stop using the iron everyday. All its doing is drying your hair out even more and damaging it more.

Cheap products are not ph balanced. Store bought product has a lot of oils that make your hair LOOK shiny and nice but all its doing is coating the hair shaft. It is not penetrating the hair therefor just covering the problem. Its not going to fix it. There is no way to "fix" split ends or damaged hair. Compare it to a piece of paper thats been ripped... and then tape it back together. Sure, its together but its not really fixed.

What you need to do it go to a salon and get a treatment for dry, damaged hair and a good haircut to get all the split and dead ends off. Stop coloring it or get your hair professionally done. When you use store bought product its a one for all... one size fits all doesnt really fit all and neither do those store products. A lot goes into good color and when you use store bought it is over processing your hair over and over when its not needed.

You CAN color your hair but a professional only colors the outgrowth therefor its not over processing the ends again and again. Professionals will also use glosses which coat the hair make it shiny and add some color but wash out and only coat the hair so they dont damage it - no ammonia used.... or a semi permenant which is way less damaging to the hair.

Its a matter of how much do you really care? I dont want to sound mean but it took a lot of time and money to get it as damaged as it is and its going to take the same amount of time and money to fix it.

Step 1 - a GOOD haircut - depending on the hair a few inches may be needed to make it less damaged looking.

Step 2 - a deep conditioning treatment

Step 3 - less heat - flat iron every other day or every 3 days. Dont wash your hair everyday so your straightening lasts and only do light touch ups in the morning.

Good luck!!!

Get a trim to get the split ends off, then stop dying your hair and using the flat iron and condition it a lot. Only dye it when you need it dyed, and give your hair a break from the flat iron every once so often. Keep conditioning! :)

You can use a little bit of moose or some special spray in your hair made specifically for keeping your hair healthy while using flat irons.

Why dont you try using thermasilk? Try using the shampoo they have and conditioner for your type of hair and then finish it off after you wash your hair or right before you straighten it with thermasilks straight and smooth cream. Use a pomade after its dried to get the straightness to stay in your hair. You might try this every other day if you can go without washing your hair for that long. HOpe that helps.

i have the same issue.
instead of using those nice flowery type shampoos get higher quality stuff. for example, i use a shampoo and conditioner called "brilliant brunette"(about $8 each). i also use a leave in conditioner and moiturizer just to help. there are products that are meant to help your hair from beinjg damaged by a flat iron...just spray in stuff.

First, lay off the flat iron. You damage your hair more every time you use it. Find a good deep conditioner, apply it generously, wrap hour head in a towel, and leave it for a couple of hours.

I know that it does damage your hair because you are putting chemicals into it. Lightening your hair is much worse for it though, darkening your hair is minimal damage. I'm not sure about damage to the skin, I've never experienced any but the weird itchy tingly feeling on your scalp probably isn't natural.

ok...stop flat ironing every day. you're murdering your hair. & secondly, when you shampoo/condition, RINSE IN COLD WATER. your hair locks in moisture better for sure reason. i'd recommend using a better shampoo...maybe a damage control shampoo from paul mitchell, biolage, aveda, or biosilk. and lastly, STOP DYING YOUR HAIR. in the long run your hair will be brittle, frizzy, & uncontrollable.
