"Lord, I did not doubt that which I did not understand, I did not open my mind to the logical thought process that you gave us all, I did not ask questions or think for myself. I did as I was told."
OR
"Lord, I followed my heart and my head and made my own decisions. I questioned that which I did not understand and pursued total understanding. I was honest with myself to the end and I only made conclusions when I had sufficient knowledge."

I wonder which one he would prefer...

The Lord prefers FAITH. When people follow him all the time even if they DONT fully understand what is going on. However, these days God has poured out the Holy Spirit so that people may have many gifts including being able to understand the things of Heaven which lead to salvation. Your belief that Christians dont use the thought process is in itself a rather ignorant statement. Without reason and logic to help guide the scholar and minister, theology would be impossible.

The Lord does not appreciate faithlessness, denial of his will, denial of his church, and people making excuses that they couldnt understand the Gospel or had no proof.

It is God that gives the knowledge that is sufficient, not mankind.

I think he would say, Those who seek the truth receive the gift of faith. Through Faith I reveal my truths. If you consider only with your limited understanding then you close your heart to the understanding only I can give you. It is not by your wisdom you know me but by my revelation.

I don't think God wants to hear u say anything. It's judgement day, not time to listen to u make excuses about ur past. It doesn't really matter anyway, your fate is sealed by your actions.

I know I would prefer the second one as He equipped us with a thinking mind and the burden of choice in life matters

Lets see if I have this right:

"God, I believed even though I had no proof."

or

"God, Sorry, I didn't have any proof so. . ."

Jesus said to have faith and believe. I would guess he would be happy that I believed - even without scientific proof.

Your understanding isnt important.

Your obedience is all important.

God wants silent willing slaves.

Not rowdy, upstart, hairless monkeys thinking they know whats best.
