allergies are an immune system response to irritants in the environment. They are not hereditary. Some people develop allergies as a result of thier immune systems going into overdrive. And moving furniture raises irritants like dust, dust mites and pollens into the air, these things can be the cause of an allergy attack, but not the cause of the allergy. These occur over time and constant exposure to the irritants.

Moving furniture around can certainly kick up some dust and make you start sneezing, have itchy eyes and skin, etc.
