I assume you mean by "caught shopping" you meant caught shoplifting. If this is the case it might not all be bipolar disorder but kleptomania disorder, which term you should look up in Yahoo! search.

Sounds like manic behavior to me - it's unreal, almost like it's not you doing those things. See a doctor and get help - you need it.
