Why do you believe this? And if you don't , why not?
Please note, this is not a question about whether God's love can save humanity or not. I am asking whether the human capacity for love is sufficiently powerful to save humanity from all the pain and suffering we currently inflict upon each other.

I am defining love as our ability to consider another person's well-being to be at least as important as our own.
There are lesser affections which do not consider another person to be as important as ourselves.

Ah, only if we achieve self-actualization, and acquire the most sincere, deep form of love: The Love of Humanity.
Which is basically the love of all life and the planet.

I hope for that each and every day! I wish for this to happen. I am tired of all of the results of hatred spreading like wildfire. I am tired of selfishness and lack of respect for one another. Mind you, I am farthest from being perfect, but I am not an instigator. I believe people are inherently good, but the ugly side of people rubs off on people faster than a kind gesture does, unfortunately. I wish I knew what to do to change things and have the world in harmonious agreement, but I'm a mere mortal, what do I know? When you figure it out, put me on the sign up sheet. As you can see, it is tough to even get people to agree that respect for one another is even possible, let alone a willingness to practice it in daily life. It's too much work, it's much easier to be rude. I agree with you, though. Anything is possible, right?!

Hell no. Our love only reaches out to the select few. 98% of humans could careless about a person they don't know. Ask your self if you saw some guy getting pounded in an alley way by a group of people, would you really try to stop them? I highly doubt it. You might consider to call for help but by that time, it's probably too late and this is in the US im talking about where govn is "meant" to protect us. If you're in a third world country where govn kills for fun, they're screwed.

Yes. A spiritually mature human being has enough capacity to Love to save humanity. This does not mean that a spiritually mature being will do this. This does not mean that I believe that there is salvation without Jesus Christ.

Love is very powerful and it helps us to understand each other but the only thing that will save mankind is the kingdom of God that Amos seen coming down out of heaven. then we will find a new fire in the act of LOVE.

I think the love will be powerful because love is when people have inner feelings for each other and they won't think of hurting them. So if love spreads for everyone, then that means there probably won't be any more violence or wars.

no. man's love always falls short. besides, them an who loves but rejects can been seen as hateful by some. love must be shown, and good is a matter of perspective. Good, God's Goood, however, is not open to interpretation.

No. Well, not yet at least.
While there are many people who love, there are too many who fervently hate. This could always change, but nowhere in the near future.

No God does not exsist. If we want to save the earth we have to use pour will power not our love power. we have to plant a tree everyday. Africans should be sent to countries with a lack or citizens. we should not use air-conditioning and we should not dump our garbage wherever we want it's all up to our WILL power to save us all.

Sadly, no. Although love is what binds us all together, most do not recognize the love within themselves and the power it holds to overcome adversity. :(.
