Before I answer this question, PLEASE read the entire answer before roasting me alive!!!

Religion has taught me that "My God is the only God and everyone else is going to burn in hell for eternity." That is what was taught to me when I was young and echoed throughout the land by televangelists and their ilk.Once I opened my eyes and the scales fell off i found out about other peoples beliefs and RESPECTED them.

Now, what I have learned from SPIRITUALITY, is a different thing altogether. "We are Stardust, We are Golden...And we got to get ourselves back to the garden!" We are all ONE.
Everything we are and do is connected. Love IS the answer. The eyes are the window to the soul. We should live our lives like, “In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.” Iroquois Confederacy maxim

Everything you do comes back to you

Listen to the Lyrics of a Million Songwriters:
Love the One You're With
Give Peace A Chance
ETC, ETC.

Bright Blessings

Religion has taught me many things!
It has taught me where I came from, why I am here on Earth and where I am going after this life is over.

Religion has taught me that I am immortal (we all are) and it has taught me the difference between immortality and eternal life.

Religion has taught me that there is a living prophet on the Earth that speaks for God...and that there are also apostles. Religion has taught me that God does have a true Priesthood on the Earth and that the Priesthood is required to perform saving ordinances (such as baptism) and that saving ordinances are required. Religion has taught me the purpose of the Temple.

Religion has taught me about my relationship to God and also how to deepen my relationship with God (through such things as prayer, scripture study, and following the Holy Ghost)...

Religion has taught me that there are many commandments that I still need to keep and it has shown me where I fall short in countless ways. Religion has taught me to be as good a person as I can be and to help and love others as much as I can.

Religion has shown me that the commandments are the "laws of happiness"
Religion basically has shown me everything important in this world! and I am very grateful and thankful to God for bringing it into my life!

Religion has taught me that all religions have something positive in them if we only take the time and research them.People should respect each other despite disagreements coming to the fore at times. People are more important than ideologies and we should not get caught up in the how of doing things but the why of doing things.

Religion has taught me never to rely on one specific thing for spiritual guidance; it can come from anywhere, anything, anytime. It's like having a telescope that only looks in one direction...not much chance of getting another point of view. Religion is dogmatic and inflexible; faith bends to evolve with those who posses it and help them re-identify with the "new" person they will become.

Religion is a man-made philosophy.
Christianity is a personal relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ, and that has taught me a lot

It has taught me to look for God and since I believe in God, a God that has no religion I don't believe in religion. But I believe in the prophets He has sent for they do come with a message. Religion is a man made concept. If you make known you are religious then you make known you believe in that particular religion. I make known that I believe in God but does that make me religious?

Gods word is not based on religion, because he hates religion. He wants relationship. Religion is counting on something like a rabbits foot. See all the religious things in the bible that people worshiped. There are many, even is own people got caught up in worshiping the bronze serpant for seven hundred years until King Hezikiah destroyed it.

Religion has taught me to take advantage of the weak.
Jesus has taught me to help them.
Religion has taught me to kill in the name of god.
Jesus has taught me to have respect for all life.
Religion has taught me to seek revenge for being wronged.
Jesus has taught me to turn the other cheek.
Religion has taught me to condemn, persecute, ridicule, kill, get money and power at any cost.
Jesus taught me love, forgiveness, self-sacrifice, and to be satisfied with what I have where I am.
I know you don't believe, but that's ok.
God bless, anyway.

That people go insane when it comes to religion. Also that religion just like politics can separate and divide a whole nation and universe very easily.
