Iwant to move to the Toronto area from them USA. I live in PIttsburgh and I wanted to know how much would a one bedroom apartment would cost say in the suburbs ? How much does utilities cost ( Electric, Water, Heat ,Cable and internet) I know that gasoline is about $4 a gallon and cigerettes are like $10 a pack and beer is $5 a bottle. How much more does food cost in ontario.? If i make $15.5 a hour will i be able to comfortably in toronto ?

Okay, the first question is, do you have dual citizenship, or some status in Canada? If you do, disregard the next paragraph. If you do not, here is the first consideration...

You cannot just pick up and move to Canada. You will have to go through the Immigration process, which will take 1-3+ years and cost $1,200 in application fees and associated costs. You can find out all the information you need here:

That said, as far as cost of living, Canada tends to be about 35% higher than the U.S. As a single person, making $15.50 an hour, living in a large City, will give you a comfortable living if you can find a decent priced rental, but won't pay for a lot of extra's. (i.e. you wont be driving the hottest sports car, taking cruises, or living high).

if you are going to make 15.5hr x40hr week i am sure u can live in confort in the toronto out skirts. a one bed room now 700 to 1000 depend on the location and facilities u get with the apt
hydro 100 to 150 pm rogers 80pm inc net in most apt u dont pay water food for a couple 100 a week and still have a saving acc with the money u make good luck
