I am a 28 year old female. I am slightly underweight (115 lbs). I am active and I am training for a marathon. When I eat a meal, I notice that my heartbeat tends to speed up. What could be causing this? I heard that some people who are below their reccomended BMI can have heart attacks. Am I at risk?

I have this too, and for me it's because I've eaten a lot of carbs/sugars. See a doctor if you're concerned about this.

This can happen after you eat a lot of refined carbs and refined sugars. It's not a good sign. It's also common after people drink caffeinated coffee

dear cgoo:

Try to remember when in this room you only get what you pay for so why not see your personal physician. You may be eating way to fast or it could be related to your diet but why take the chance be a winner with your health and when participating in the upcoming marathon.

Best 2 ya,
