She has been producing a lot of eye boogers today and she is acting sensitive to light when she looks at it in her right eye. It is closed, not swollen or red though.

The very same thing happened to my cat. We tried to let it go on it's own, but that didn't work.

Take her to the vet, they'll prescribe eye drops that should clear it up within a few days/week or so. Please do this. It's not expensive, and absolutely needed.

It could be an upper respiratory infection.

I dunno but take her to a vet to see what's wrong.
