I know they are harmful to my health and all you politically correct peons swear up and down you can't not be addicted, but I am. I can smoke a pack a day for 2 weeks and then quit for 2 weeks. I have done it many times. My mother is exactly the same. Could this be genetic? Or am I just psychologically and physicologically gifted? (serious responses only please, no opinions- just facts).

But, you keep going back to smoking; so you are addicted.

Addiction is subtle and usually because it gives you a high when you do the behavior. Why are you still smoking? You know it is bad for your health, it costs money and yet you are still smoking, why is that?

In your case addiction might be subtler than it is with other people, but it is still addiction. Nicotine is used in bug spray and has been for a long time. The cigarette companies add ammonium to make their product more addictive. You know all this and yet you continue to smoke?

Besides the high, what benefit do you get from smoking? Once you can answer that question then you can give me a reason why you are not addicted.

I have no idea but there is a posibility that you really are geneticallly gifted. One of my friends froms school smokes but she can quit anytime she wants to. BTW it runs in her family too. But still you shouldn't even be smoking. It's really bad for your health. Have you ever seen what happens to your lungs and your brain when you smoke. A lump of tar builds up in ur brain and ur lungs and it's really not pretty.
