I had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday, and the surgeon perscribed me Vicodine for the pain. Well last night, it kept me up all night. It was very frustrating. Especially because it says on the lable that Vicodine causes drowsiness.

Yes..Pain killers can put you in a good mood, talkative, happy, and non drowsy..just works that way for some people..it does me..As long as it's taking the pain away, i wouldn't worry about.

People respond differently to medications. In your case it did not cause drowsiness and actually stimulated you. Call the surgeon and explain your reaction and ask for a different pain medication.

It seems to keep me awake and I am on it for long term for spinal problems. If it is for tooth ache, it is short term. If it were any other, i would ask for something else. I plan to do so.
