If I take caffeine pills to build energy to lose weight, how many should I take a day and how often? Also, is there a difference in the store brands and the name brands when it comes to these pills? Thanks

Caffeine is good in reasonable amounts, but I wouldn't go more than about a 1000mg a day. That is the equivalent of 10 cups of coffee and enough to put most people into cardiac arithmia. If you are going to go this route, please ramp up slowly. Dont' just take 2 or 3 of these pills at once without seeing how you react individually. Take one, see how it feels, try another in a couple hours. Spread them out over time, rather than taking a handful at once. It will totally screw over your adrenal glands and your heart if you overdo it, or take a bunch of it at one time.

First, caffeine pills are NOT a weight loss product. and Second, they can severely damage your organs if you take too many or for a long period of time (6mos - 1yr).
Just a warning.
My cousin (25) was told by his dr to not be surprised if he had a heart attack in the next year because his heart is in such bad condition due to the pills.

Approximately 3500 mgs of caffeine a day is good. Sadly, those Nazis at the FDA only allow a negligible 100 or so in each pill, so you'll have to take a lot. Trust me though, the pounds will come off, and you'll have all the energy you'll need. All the brands are the same, so just pick the cheapest. Buy in bulk if you have to.

I only take 80 mg and I cut them in half. You shouldn't have anymore chance of becoming addicted with the pill then coffee. If you are on a tight budget the pill is cheaper then coffee and sodas.

IF YOU CONSUME 250mg PER DAY THIS IS AVERAGE. MORE CAN BEGIN TO CAUSE UNDESIRED EFFECTS.
