I am not sure that it is a common thing, but yes it does happen. It is usually a reaction to the sedation or laughing gas administered during surgery-- blood swallowed can sometimes cause the stomach to become ill too.

I threw up after having my wisdom teeth removed but was better later that day. I have this reaction any time I am sedated for medical procedures as well as dental. You may have the same intolerance for sedatives, many people do.

I personally didn't throw up after getting mine surgically removed, but I also didn't take pain meds after and was able to eat the next day. Most people aren't so lucky and do get the nausea and vomitting I think you have. It might be due to whatever the dr. knocked you out/numbed you with, or the fact that you're taking pain medications on a pretty much empty stomach (since you probably can't eat). Try taking pain meds around the same time as you drink a milkshake (or whatever you can manage to put down!) and that should help.

Some people don't react well to the medication they use to put you under. I know many people who have thrown up after they've woken up from a procedure, including me, so it's pretty common. If it lasts though, for more than a few hours or even a day, that's not common, get checked out.

been a few years ago, don't know if it's common, but I
was sick to my stomach and stayed in bed for a couple of
days when I had my first wisdom teeth pulled -- the later
ones didn't cause any problems at all ---- that was just me tho

Yes. Most people I know throw up blood. It could be swallow some blood during the procedure, it could also be a reaction to the anesthesia

Yes, it is VERY common! In fact, you might not regain your appetite for over a week. I had mine surgically-removed so they'd never come out, and yes, it hurt for quite awhile.

If they had you under pain numbing drugs or laughing gas, yeah. Not if it continues for more than a day though.
