There are several credit cards that will approve you. Try Orchard Bank, they are one of the best at building/rebuilding credit. They have a low interest rate (14.90, good for a sub prime card), low annual fee, no hidden fees and if you manage your account properly, they give excellent credit limit increases.
Avoid secured credit cards. Most report your status as secured and this does nothing to help build/rebuild your credit.
Avoid Capital One. They do not report your credit limit and that damages your credit score. Example, they give you a $500 limit and you use $250, they will report your limit as $250. This will damage your credit score because instead of using 50% of your credit limit, it looks like you are using 100% of your credit limit.
Avoid First Premier, Tribute, Rewards 660, Imagine, Total, and Continental Finance. These are all high fee / low limit credit cards that amount to nothing more than a scam.

I had the same problem!
My mom add a credit card to her account with my name, she has excellent credit which made it look like I had excellent credit. This helped me get credit so I could get credit elsewhere. SHE DID NOT GIVE ME THE CREDIT CARD!
You can also get a cell phone in your name if you are 18+ years old. You will probably have to pay a small deposit... probably less than $200, but that money you will get back!
Good luck and hope it helped

just go in & ask to borrow a very small amt.,then keep the money back make payments out of the money you borrowed. pay the loan off early. Then go & borrow a little more than the 1st time, and do the same. do this for a while & it will build your credit up. all it cost you is the interest you paid, but it is worthn it to help your credit rating.

If your credit is so bad you can't get a credit card, start with a prepaid card. As you use it, your credit rating will increase. Once your credit is good enough, get a debit card that ties directly to your bank account. Once again, ensure that you use it wisely and never exceed the limit. You'll find that within a year or two you've rebuilt your credit to the point you can get a "real" credit card.
Good luck!

you do not favor to have a superior credit status to computer screen on your FIRST mastercard. you merely ought to instruct that you've some money and a job that could want to pay your mastercard charges. bypass to an section economic employer, open up an account and ask for a mastercard. or perchance a secured one.

I know Capital One has a secure credit card. You have to pay a certain fee to get it.Anywhere from 75.00 to 200.00 on 500.00 card.
Good way to build up credit. After a certain amount of time you get your fee back and they'll up your credit.
Check it out.

you don't have to build credit just with things like credit cards or loans; you can build it just by paying bills on time, like household bills--your phone bill, your utility bill, stuff like that. and you can get a small credit card with a co-signer. that's how a lot folks start out.
