JWs will tell you its because they care about people. And some of them genuninally do. They believe they have something of vital importance to share. Lots do it from a sense of duty.
Keep in mind that they are also required to report how many hours they have been out 'witnessing' (door knocking) each month and how many peices of literature they have left with non believers. Should these reports not be turned in their bookstudy conductor, an elder, will follow them up asking why they have not been out or to hand in a report. They are encouraged STRONGLY to do the national average hours. In Australia that is 10 a month. Should you stop engaging in the witnessing work you will find that you lose certain 'JW privileges' and are marked as a bad association and not included in social activities.

It is part of the religion. It is the duty of all Christians to share there faith with others but the Jehovah Witnesses take it to a whole new level. LOL

I believe that it is both.
I think that they care - but they care from a misguided notion and understanding that is only supported by the teachings of their particular group.
TRUE - they can show you within their scriptures things to support their claims - but if one takes the time to go to a translators bible, one can see quickly that the ones that made the adjustments to their version of scripture were not Hebrew or Greek scholars.
But when one has been raised within a belief - or within no belief at all and such a group is what they get hooked up with - is it any wonder that they blindly look just as what they are told to look at vs. doing an honest, open search of what is being told to them?
Many of them really are good people - misguided of course in what they are following when compared to scripture - but basically good people that just need to expand their study of scripture vs. study of Watchtower material.

Boy do you sound like you're fairly afraid they could be perfect. Christ did not coach his followers to bypass out and argue with human beings, yet to seek those whose hearts are searching for reality. you're merely searching for an argument. As for the door to door artwork, church homes do not oftentimes coach all their followers the completed Bible and the thanks to evangelise and coach, as contained in the celebration set down through the Apostles. some persons does not make a superior celebration. a minimum of contained in the JW they coach everyone both, regardless of age, race, or economic status. As for the Apostles not conserving houses, remember, their objective develop into to construct as many new congregations (not places of worship, yet places of gaining knowledge of) in a really short era of time. particular, you may want to to evangelise and coach, yet what about your mom, grandmother, or grandmother? Do in addition they get out on an wide-spread foundation to finish that, or would not their personal faith provide them that type of stress to opt to inform others. many faiths, maximum those days along with the Muslims, have tried to get their contributors to have the variety of religion cutting-edge in JWS that could want to urge them on to bypass out preaching and training, yet they seem to continuously fail. The witnesses provide not something of economic or worldly benefit for doing it, yet tens of millions are doing it on a daily basis. particular, you could declare the promise of a paradise earth is the driving stress, yet than why would not the same promise of existence in heaven artwork with the different religions. Is it perchance the contributors of the church are merely not particular what they are being instructed is the reality, and the completed reality, so that they see no reason to bypass out and promote it? No, I’m not a witness, as i develop into disfellowshipped in 1982 through the Corning, CA Congregation, for reason.

What does it mean to be a Christian?
(1 John 2:5-6) 5 But whoever does observe his word, truthfully in this [person] the love of God has been made perfect. By this we have the knowledge that we are in union with him. 6 He that says he remains in union with him is under obligation himself also to go on walking just as that one walked.
Love of God and neighbor makes us obligated to preach.
(2 Timothy 2:14-15) 14 Keep reminding them of these things, charging them before God as witness, not to fight about words, a thing of no usefulness at all because it overturns those listening. 15 Do your utmost to present yourself approved to God, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of the truth aright.
(Hebrews 4:11) 11 Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, for fear anyone should fall in the same pattern of disobedience.
(2 Peter 1:9-10) . . .. 10 For this reason, brothers, all the more do YOUR utmost to make the calling and choosing of YOU sure for yourselves; for if YOU keep on doing these things YOU will by no means ever fail.
(2 Peter 3:14) 14 Hence, beloved ones, since YOU are awaiting these things, do YOUR utmost to be found finally by him spotless and unblemished and in peace.
If you are not doing your utmost, then you are rejecting God and Christ.
The true question here is why aren't all 'Christians' doing their utmost?

Many of them believe deeply in their false ideas about God and His Holy Word; but I've seen very little Christian love and concern coming from them, so I'd say almost *all* of them witness because it's their *misguided* duty!
I've even seen some of this misguided and misunderstood "obligation" among legalistic Christians, who sadly don't understand true Christian love and concern!

If you knew your nephew was going to jail if he kept stealing from the store would you talk to him or would you shrink back and mind your own business?
Jehovah's people look at their neighbors as in danger of dying so they wish to help. All of the worlds troubles come from satan and only God's kingdom and good news can help them.
JWs truly care about you. They feel joy when you listen to God and turn your life around and get right with God.

Both,
However they have re written the areas of John 1:1 to meet their needs and have taken away the importance of Jesus and the cross. They made a slight spin to throw others from the truth. Now they are believers in a false teaching a few created. they spend much time on apologetics to take Jesus out of the equation.

2nd greatest commandment is that we love our neighbor as our selves. Well I myself want to make it into Jehovahs system. So I also love my neighbor so much that I want them to make it too.
Matt 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,.....to make disciples we have to go find them and preach to them. Just like Jesus did

Well, we are commanded to do so. Jesus went door to door. Are you guys calling Jesus annoying? If Jesus showed up at your door in the morning with WatchTowers and Awakes, would you turn him away? We are trying to spread the truth, and we do care about the people we witness to. We are out there doing what we should be doing, and we love every minute of it. If someone does slam their door in our face, we just strive to do our work even harder, because we know someone out there needs the truth.
