Judy, I pray by now that you see that others have been in despair, too. Satan would love for you to be dead and gone, but please don't let him win.

God, through His Holy Spirit, will come to you and comfort you and give you your joy back.... don't give up, my sister, just dig deeper into Jesus and turn it all over to Him...

Try this prayer... Oh God, I hurt so much and I have so much pain. God, I want to feel better and to live again. I am turning all of my pain and hurt over to you right now. I just can't take it any more and I need you. Please, my God, help me. I trust in you and I love you. I need Jesus and I need Him now. In Jesus' name I pray... Amen

We are praying for you Judy.... so many of us understand and love you.... most of all, Judy, God loves you so very, very much....

Yes, I have contemplated suicide. There was a time in my life when I was very depressed but I felt like I had a burden to bear: I had to keep living for my friends that needed me and honestly that was the only thing that kept me alive at times. I never actively attempted suicide, but during this time period I did engage in dangerous behaviors that very well could have caused my death. (wandering alone at night, binge drinking...) If I were to commit suicide though it would probably be in some crazy artistic, ritualistic way. I probably wouldn't be what people would call "pretty" but I wouldn't blow my head off with a shotgun or anything. Then again, I'd probably just jump off a very high skyscraper, tall enough that when I landed, I'd just go SPLAT! No pain because you're dead on impact, and oh, the Euphoria in those last few seconds of life! Falling, falling, falling! Now I am a much happier person and don't think so much about suicide. As strange a concept as this is to me, I think I'm actually starting to develop some mental stability.

If I was in that situation I would probably contemplate Suicide, too. Then I would remember that I had made it through hard times before. I would wait a couple of days, get up one morning and hear the birds and smell the flowers, and feel better. Then I would say that nothing lasts forever, everything changes, and go about enjoying the years I had left.

I've not "seriously" considered suicide. I look at it this way...there's reason and purpose even if you don't understand. Have you ever seen "It's a Wonderful Life". Just by living, you touch many people in ways you don't understand. If you feel the need for "family" to take care of you....we are here for moral support whenever you need it. Email me anytime...your life is too important to end prematurely, there is love here, on yahoo answers, sometimes you have to search for it, though. You are in my thoughts and prayers...

I would feel this way had I not had a relationship with Jesus who gives me Hope and much reason to live life abundantly in His unfailing love. I do not know if you know God/Jesus on a personal level, but if not, know that we were created with this void in our life so that we would seek Jesus who fills our void. Jesus is with you, you just need to invite Him into your heart, repent and follow Him. It's the Holy Spirit that guides you, comforts you and gives you joy that is there no matter what your circumstances are. Happiness is dependent on circumstances and so we live like yo yo's without the joy provided by Jesus. We true christians still have sadness and pain because we are still human, but Joy is still there in the midst of it as is Jesus. Our future is in Christ. We live only a few yrs, then eternity. I look forward to the perfect life in eternity in my perfect mansion Jesus promised in Heaven. If you want to email me, I'd be glad to talk further with you. A great CD or book is "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. Keep looking up to The Lord, as He is always looking down at YOU!!

If you're thinking about suicide, see a doctor. There are medications that can help you. Depression is NOT permanent.

And yes, I have been suicidal many times in my life (it comes with the territory in treatment-resistant depression). I know how hard it is to hang on, but please -- hang on. If you need help right now, call 911 or look in the phone book for a suicide crisis hotline. There are people who are trained to help you, waiting to do just that.

I wish you the best of luck.

I have not contemplated suicide although I have faced many obstacles. I have lost jobs, my house, my money, family members. What kept me going were my sister, my good friends and their love and support. I went back to school and got retrained to do something that I enjoy. It hasn't been easy and I make less money, but I'm happier. It's a matter of focusing on what you DO have and not on what you DON'T have. I spent a lot of time being angry, and I found that it did me no good. When I shifted my focus to gratitude, I found that many good things began to come to me again. Don't lose faith -- things may not come in the form that you expect, but they will come. Allow yourself to be open to some unexpected joy. Good luck to you!

what you do is pray and trust god! i have contemplated it before many times prior to coming to jesus and i know the feeling of despair but remember that he will never leave you nor foresake you and he will never put more on you than you can bear! maybe this time of despair is a test of faith. you are never to old to be tested and when you come thru this it will be a way for the lord to show you just how strong you truly are! sometimes we go thru these things so the lord can show you that you are still more than a conquerer in him and trust me you may feel this way right now but if you call out to jesus he will se you thru it! i will earnestly pray for you tonight and dont forget ..the devil is a liar and he makes things seem a lot bigger than they really are! and remember:::::this too shall pass! its never permanent bu death is!!!!

Yes when I was younger. I was a very unhappy young woman.

Now that I am born again in Jesus, no, I don't feel that way anymore. Are you feeling desperate and lonely, full of despair? I'm so sorry. I know what's it's like to feel there is no way out and nothing will ever change.

I don't mean to push anything at you...I just want to pray to God that He show you the way out. May God be the lifter of your head today.
