I just happened to be a Military Police Investigator with the 6th Special Forces at Fort Bragg, NC when Jeffery MacDonald allegedly killed his family. It was my job that day to guard the crime scene so evidence would not be destroyed. It was a pretty bloody mess, and several "rubber-necking" high ranking officers had already been in the house and contaminated some of the evidence. The house stayed boarded up for years and sealed as a crime scene. I left Ft Bragg in 1978 so I don't know what ever happened to it. The site below will give you more specific info.

On the gruesome scale of 1 to 10: I saw a man crushed by a dumpster. The truck was lifting an industrial 'big green' dumpster when a hydraulic line blew. It sprayed the man with oil and pressure went down.....so did the dumpster - on the garbage man.
That was a 10. Not a pretty sight. I will never forget the scene for the rest of my life. I am keeping the gory details out of this story.

Any crime scene that causes injury or loss of life is always the worst for those that it affects. All officers around the country and not only here in Ohio will agree to that. As a Patrolman the salary for any given area is usually less than what you'd like to be making, but if you are looking at getting into law enforcement to get rich PLEASE look at another career. If you are willing to do the job for FREE then it is for you, if not...look into marketing.

I'm not an officer of the law, But I remember as a child...my dad was called to a scene, I tagged along. The chief of course asked one of his officers to take me back out side. But I was one of the first to see the scene. A man had committed suicide in his home. He had shot himself in the head with a 12 ga shot gun sawed off with pistol grips. His brains where all over the place and blood was every where in the living room. No one was there with him, and he lived alone. There was NO brake in. Happened in KY some time between 67 and 69. I do know currently in this line of work, some departments in Ky are paying 38K to 48K a yr. Depends on what city and department? Sorry if this offended anyone...It was very sickening! I remember like it was yesterday, still. Since then...I myself was gun shot with a .44 Super Mag hollow point. I have 300 pieces still inside me to remember it by. The remains of the bullet was found in my truck door, that's how they knew what it was after ballistics got done. I'm alive by the power of God ONLY! And yes, I kept myself calm and collected. I didn't freak out.
some find that hard to believe, but it's the Gods honest truth!

Worst crime was.....I really haven't been bothered enough by one to have it stick in my mind. I did see a guy that was hacked up with a machete. Got there as the guy was doing it. He was in the other room, we could only hear it.
The money varies from place to place. I make a good amount of money where I'm at, at least it seems good on the surface. Too bad housing is absolutely ridiculous here. I'm gonna have to pay 400K for a little condo.

Well I have seen several murders and dozens of sucides.
Had one where a man cut his, {manhood) off, blood everywhere. GA and NY
Officers in GA start in small departments around 18 K a year and make a max of about 50 K for years of service and promotions.

Six murders and dozens of suicides because they are done intentionally. A number of fatal car accidents also that do terrible things to a body but at least you think of them as accidents and not man's inhumanity to man.
