It can't be because of looks, can it? There are many girls at my school that look hotter than my crush. I barely even know my crush. So why do people have crushes on certain people and not others?

It's a certain physical attraction. Could be a smile, a dimple, a walk, a shape, an appreciation for a skill. It doesn't have to be on the "people's choice".

most of what a crush is is purely physical, especially if you dont know the person you have the crush on. We base a crush on what we see, and the body language that we send other people. Crushes are just the lust for physical. Once they get to know you or vis versa then thats when they can determine if the crush is worth persuing further actions with. But its mostly looks, and what your bodylanguge signals are sending out to everyone that attacts someone.

there must be something about that person that you like and you just focus on that part. if you think there are hotter girls then its a temporary crush it will go away soon

i hate crushes..theres a reason there called crushes...they crush you over and over agian till you can stand and never want to try at love or dateing ever agian....
