*In certain spiritual circles this question
has been debated for centuries. No proclamation has ever been made as
to which one came first!

well the concept of forgiveness came first with God, but no one was actually forgiven until somebody sinned.

Since evolution is Satan's deception for those who refuse to believe the truth of the Bible, there's no question that the chicken came first to incubate the egg!

Since sin entered the world by Satan's deception of Eve, followed by Adam's disobedience, there's no question that sin came first or forgiveness would not have been needed!

The *only* source of Wisdom is God!

Sin came first. Before that, there was no NEED for forgiveness.
Before sin, forgiveness was just a concept.

Everybody seems to be saying sin came first. Sure sign that can't be right.

An omniscient God would have known about sin in advance. Forgiveness was a prerequisite to Creation.

Jesus was "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" The cross was a done deal before there was an Adam or an Eve

since God sees the end from the begining, its perhaps not appropriate that he 'reacts' as a finite being might since nothing takes Him by surprize... and yet God is unchanging yet dynamic

it's semantical... you could say both always was in the mind of God before anything was... if you like

Without sin there would be no need for forgiveness. However, when God created Adam and Eve He gave them free will. And He knew that they would ultimately fail. So His forgiveness was a concept even before there was sin. But it wasn't reality until after sin and repentance.

I guess sin had to come before forgiveness. Until sin there was nothing for God to forgive. At least that's what I'd think anyway.

Sin came when Adam and Eve chose to listen to satan instead of God. There was nothing for God to forgive man for before sin. So, sin came first.

Forgiveness!

God's chosen ones, saved by the blood of Christ, where chosen before time, forgiveness was given by Grace.

By Christ's blood, a ransom was payed, for past sins, for present sins and for future sins.

Adam and Eve, sinned after their creation, the first sin.
They were forgiven before time, just like every one else who is saved by His grace.

Soli Deo Gloria
