why did god choose to reveal himself thousands of years ago to only a small group of hebrew men and before the printing press was invented?...this seems like a highly inefficient way for god to get his word out to mankind...what would be wrong with god simply talking to each and every person the way he talked to his prophets?

well, i think the problem would be that we would no longer have free will. If God came to talk to you, surely you would be a fool if you didn't believe in God - presuming God made it obvious. so then we would all live our lives according to God's laws, whatever they end up being, and we do not have free will for fear of losing God's love.
And, of course, we cannot know for sure if god really did reveal to others ever in the course of history... perhaps it was all a dream. or a good story.

honestly!!! It became some thing greater formal, yet I used to communicate to Him however the clarification and because I stored forward to my very own ambition and desires, while He gave me avertisements I stored none and did my way going into further and added trubles! Into an end, interior of a deep depresion, He stored my existence (!!!) the very 2nd I left away of all my deep needs... There, empty heart, i became crammed with God's mild and Peace and Love - an entire New existence, a clean physique, a clean imaginative and prescient over the previous and the destiny :) :) :) specific, he's my Saviour!!!

I believe you answered your own question.
A printing press would have created more copies of His Word but for spreading the Good News, there's nothing like the personal touch. He instructs us to go forth and preach the Gospel. He lives within us - we are the church - as we do so.

Not every person was ready, and to show himself to everyone would eliminate faith. Faith is the purpose that we are here. We are here to learn and to trust God. As we trust in him, we can learn more and more. Without the opposition of doubt though, we cannot progress. Agency and opposition is central to God's plan. For without pain, we would never know happiness.

God continually reveals himself to everyone in all ways, it's just that we don't pay attention and we block God out.

It seems to me that it worked quite well. There are roughly 2 billion Christians.

He does talk to each and every person. Should you incline your ear to Him.

He does. But it takes humility to actually listen to, and hear Him.

Peace.
