She really likes him and she and I have known him for a while. I really want to go out with this guy but i know she's not going to want me going out with him because this situation happened before. I have no idea what to do

You have to weigh her friendship against the benefits of this man. It happened before? How did it resolve?

There's really no way around it; as long as you're single or even if you're in a committed relationship, whether now, or when you're older, this will always be an issue as long as you live: whether it's a friend who likes your guy, one of your cousin's, sister, acquaintance. You know you're friend better than anyone, so you know how she will take it. If you think she would end the relationship, and you value the relationship more then the guy, then next time you like a guy make sure you let her know it before she gets a chance to say anything. If not, and this guy is just too special to pass up, than eventually she will understand-might take some time, but ultimately you can't please everyone, it's impossible. Hard decision, hope you make the right one.

Well if i was u i would talk to her about him and tell him that u 2 like 1 another. And if she is understanding she will be ok. But just rem. 1 thing there r more fish out in that water and if it means losing ur bbf then move on u need to think bout it but if i was u i would just stay friends with that guy cause friends r hard to *** by. Well good luck in all u do hope every things turns out 4 all of u!

Remember she doesn't have a leash on you. If you like the guy and he asked you out, go out. Your best friend will get over it. She is your best friend remember and she should be happy for you. She'll find another guy she likes and she'll be over him. She can't tell you who you can't date and who you can, that's your decision. Go out with him and if she really has a problem sit down and talk to her about it.

You call her your best friend forever. Dating him will put that in danger.

All you can do is tell her and choose how you respond. If you dont tell her and go out with him, you will likely not be best friends for long.

Men come and go, friends are forever,
