I have read the bible at the end in revelations it says only so many people will go to heaven or be saved? why then would christians go door to door trying to save people? i would have kept is a secret.

oh I know...the funny part is that most christians still think god is a male lol

A careful reading will reveal that what is being counted male, Jewish virgins who can clearly trace their linneage to one of the tribes of Israel. This in no way indicates that those are the only ones being saved, but have a special role and mission to Israel.

Incidentally, we Christians are NOT to go door to door, but to find a house which is willing to hear the Gospel, and stay there while we preach publicly.
