That if a gay guy wanted saved, he could. As long as he kept the thoughts to himself, and didn't look at gay prn, and stopped with the gay sinning, he could. It'd be like a gay giving the oath of abstinence for the rest of his life. Do you agree? Becuase I'm sure that God would give them a chance at Heaven.

Alberto,
Not all gays are atheists.
God Bless.

vinslave,
Every single thing you just said just about gives the opposite of me. I'm just asking, and I didn't sence any hatred to other's beliefs when I was asking this. I do love thy neighbor. Just because I'm asking if a gay guy could remain abstinent, and get saved doesn't mean I hate that peros. What a strong word!

I really think that believers should find something more productive to do than obsess about homosexuality. For some reason, despite the fact that there's only a few very small references to it in the Bible, and a LOT of stuff in the Bible that is MUCH more important and regularly overlooked, believers are fixated on homosexuality. The Bible also says that eating shellfish is an abomination, and I don't see anybody on here obsessing about repenting for eating shrimp cocktail.
Let's start focusing on helping the poor, feeding the hungry, and ending hate, intolerance, and bigotry. I would think that if there IS a God, that would be much more pleasing to Him than pointlessly and uselessly droning on and on about what someone else is doing behind closed doors that hurts no one.

Very cute. Just because you THINK that someone's life and who they love doesn't agree with the way you THINK they should love and live, based on some archaic book written for people in another era at a different level of understanding many things, EVEN if they don't even share your illogical beliefs, should just do everything you say they should.
Good grief... well guess what, I find your failure at altruism and compassion to be disgusting and until you develop altruism and compassion just like Jesus said you should, loving your neighbor as yourself and not putting yourself on the same level as your alleged omnipotent creator being (in thinking you have the same level of knowledge, etc. to JUDGE people), you should go and live in another country. How's that work for you? SAME STANDARDS. NOTE: I wouldn't EVER condemn anybody like I've just written in this paragraph, this is simply something for you to chew over and think for a minute.
Altruism... compassion, wisdom... the logical choice.

Look, what someone does or doesn't do in their life is no one's business.
Who God saves is for him and him alone to know.
Anyone - and I mean ANYONE - who gives you a laundry list of actions and says follow these and you KNOW you are saved - is tempting you to sin.
There is no way for anyone to be certain they have attained heaven while they are walking around in their meat suit.
I know of actively gay people who are better christians than some of the "devout" christians I know.
Jesus himself told the religious leaders of his day that sinners and prostitutes would attain heaven before them.
I'm certain the same applies today.

that's possible and encouraged. what feelings they have or don't have doesn't matter: it's all about the raod you take.
God will consider a person who has homosexual feelings or urges righteous if they don't believe it's right, don't condone it, and don't practice it (and obey His commands like everyone else should). They can have God ordained relationships (straight dating/marriage, normal friendships), so they don't have to be abstinant completely, just homosexually abstinant.

Its no different to a hetrosexual giving up sex to either be celibate or wait for marriage. Its about loving God enough to do it His way, not just to be 'good'!

A gay could go on banging guys right up to his death bed if he sincerely repented his sins and accepted Jesus then.
Seriously, that's the way it works.

That God would eternally punish a man for loving another man is homophobic, intolerant and it disgusts me. Your God is a BIGOT.
