LDS are Latter-Day Saints. We (I am LDS) are Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that he is the Savior, and the Lord. It's through Christ that we reach Heaven. If that isn't Christian, then I don't know what is. I've been Mormon all my life and I've never seen any "cult-like" behavior. I don't worship the devil or anything. People throw around the word "cult" without really knowing what it means, I think.

Christian is any person who believes Jesus Christ was the Savior of the world. LDS is a common abbreviation for Latter Day Saint which is someone who belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or better known as Mormon because of the Book of Mormon which the prophet Joseph Smith translated. In actuality, there really is no difference since Mormons are Christians(as is obvious by the name of the church), its just a different denomination, like say Protestant or Baptist.

A Christian is a person who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

LDS is an acronym for "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." They are also called Mormons because of their belief in "The Book of Mormon - Another Testament of Jesus Christ"

It seems that LDS people are not Christians though.

Later Day Saints mormans, at first glance, this church appears to believe about the same as all other christians, but they are very different, they believe that people were alive in the spirit world, came to earth to gain the bodies, obey the doctrines, given to joseph smith in 1800s in america, do good works, then when they die, if they have been "good enough" they can become Gods of their own worlds, and have millions of spirit babies to inhabit that world. They believe that Jesus, satan, and us were all once spirit babies, meaning that jesus and satan were equals, only heavenly father liked Jesus s plan for our earth better than satans, so satan got booted out of the spirit world, not being allowed to get his body. I have not been able to find this from the bible, but it is in the book of morman i believe.

Christian - is referring to people who believe in Jesus Christ.

LDS is a acronym that stands for (The Church of Jesus Christ of) Latter Day Saints. (aka, Mormons)

Mormons would be considered Christians since they believe in Jesus Christ. However; they vary from most traditional Christians beliefs (Evangelical, Lutheran, Baptist,etc...) in that they also believe in 'The Book of Mormon' (they read and study this book in addition to the Bible). They also believe in a (modern day) prophet and apostles.

Many people think that the Mormon church is a 'cult'.

A cult is defined as "a system of religious or spiritual beliefs, especially an informal and transient belief system regarded by others as misguided or unorthodox" "a group of people who share religious or spiritual beliefs" Encarta Dictionary. Under this definition, nearly all world religions would be considered a 'cult'.

The full name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We do believe in Christ, we believe you will get to heaven by both works and faith.
Many believe us to be a cult but in the Websters dictionary the definition of the word cult is...
cult- formal religious worship-
which means all religions are a cult according to this definition.

Christianity is a belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who atoned for our sins, so we can repent, and he died and was resurrected, so we can be resurrected.

LDS stand for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe and teach that God has restored his full truth to the earth and that we have a modern prophet.

We believe that Christ is the Son of God. He preached the gospel during His life, and he completed his mission by atoning for our sins, and by dying for us. He was resurrected, so likewise, we can all be resurrected.
