To do that you need a power supply to convert the 120vAC from your power outlet in your room into 12 v DC like you car system. Now each power supply have a rating power. Look the power rating of your radio and your amplifiers, the total power drew of the amp and the CD player and do not try to exceed the power of the power supply. A computer case power supply is a good idea but if you plan to connect also a computer then make sure the power supply can handle it.

You need a 12-volt power supply. This is a device that plugs into your wall and produces a DC power output that your deck can use. One like this would work well: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=120-538

An old DC power supply from a computer case can often be adapted to power a car audio CD player.

DC power supplies get more expensive as their current capacity increases. For a CD player, you can power it easily with a power supply rated for 10 amps; you could probably get away with a 5-amp unit if you wanted (especially if you're just using the CD player function and not hooking up speakers directly to it). However, an amplifier would require more current and so a more expensive power supply: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=120-548

Modt car CD players will use 12 Volts DC. You need to check the power input to your car CD (Look to see if it is 12 V DC. If so you will need to have an AC to DC converter so you can plug the power supply into your room outlet then have it change the power to 12 V DC and then plug it into your Car CD. You should have the output from your Car CD player into an amplifyer of some kind. Most car CDs do not have an amp built in. So you need to route your output into an amp input then plug your speakers into the amp.

Hope this helps
